Doug and Dave Vass officially announced today on their blog that they have resigned from Zrii. The news is prompting strong feelings and a wide variety of thoughts across the Zrii nation.

For me, I feel a sense of validation. I have watched Dave Vass's story book video series in which he tells of the reasons why he and Doug Vass made the decision to leave what appeared to be a very lucrative position in Zrii. Almost one year ago, I made that same decision. It turns out after watching the Dave's video storybook, that we left for similar reasons.

It is hard to continue building a network marketing organization within a company that does not mirror ones values and principles. I feel for Doug and Dave. They have poured their hearts and energy and finances into Zrii for two and a half years. That is a lot to walk away from. At the same time, I commend them for deciding to stand within their deepest feelings and principles.

When I made my decision just about a year ago, it was with a heavy heart...and also a sense of relief. Yet when I opened my heart and mind to other possibilities, amazing things began to happen. I was so blessed to receive the invitation of my life.....endings are usually just beginnings in disguise.

Why I No Longer Work My Zrii Business

Don't get me wrong..Zrii is a wonderful product. I drink it every day and have been doing so since October 2007. In that time I have not been sick once. With that in mind, I can only imagine the powerful immune system effect that is going on in my body, on a deeper level. Hopefully the ayurvedic ingredients in Zrii are preventing serious diseases that take years to become evident.

Given that testimonial, many may ask why I no longer work my Zrii business. The answer is, that Zrii as a business was not a good way for the average person to make money. Creating a long term residual income and helping others to do the same is the reason that I am a network marketing professional. Though I personally was making money with Zrii, my down line could not duplicate my efforts even with a lot of training and support. Zrii as a product is a hard sell. The effects are not noticeable for most people in the here and now. You know how hard it is in our western minded society to convince people to do things and pay for things that are preventative, without seeing/feeling differences for themselves. Some people "feel" Zrii, but many do not.

Zrii as a business had a very, very high attrition rate, thus making it hard for the average distributor (Zrii IE) to create ongoing residual income. Zrii as a company has shown that they know this, by recently adding a weight loss product to their line. Weight loss is an easier sell than wellness and prevention. This is a smart decision on their part, yet departs from their original one product mission and ideal.

My goal as a network marketing professional as well as a home business coach and trainer is to make sure that I reach my financial and lifestyle goals and that those who work with me, do so as well. That is why it became increasingly untenable for me to continue building a down line with Zrii. My level of integrity and honesty would not allow it.

I do continue to sell Zrii as a product and to drink it myself. As for making money. I have chosen to work with a company that I know has a simple, yet unique product line and the financial success of it's distributors at the heart of it's mission and philosophy.

Why You Need a Residual Focus Company

Zrii is a great product. I've been drinking it almost every day for 18 months and have not even suffered a mild cold. Imagine what it is doing on a deeper immune boosting level. That is why I continue to sell Zrii in a direct sales manner to others who also appreciate the health benefits.

Unfortunately, the Zrii network marketing business is another story. The design of the the original compensation plan ended up creating a problem for all but the very top IE's in the company. There was a great fast start bonus program and then a great big "hole". True residual income did not kick in for so long, that by the time it became to trickle in, many had dropped out. The company has experienced a very high attrition rate, partly because of this. The new compensation plan appears to be a binary type plan. These are wonderful for the company but pretty low on the comp plan totem pole, for distributors.

To be successful in network marketing, beyond one's own drive, desire and determination, you need a company that has a Residual Focus mentality. This means that the compensation plan needs to be designed to reward people quickly, evenly and fairly and do it with ongoing residual income. The product line needs to be simple and something that people naturally use everyday. Unfortunately Zrii is not that kind of product. It is a luxury for many and something that gets dropped in a difficult economy. Think instead of products that are habits or life necessities: coffee, tea, cleaning products, water -- even alcohol and cigarettes, though to me those are morally inappropriate to market.

If you are struggling in your Zrii business, even if you still love the Zrii product, now may be the time to take a look around and find that Residual Focus Company that will allow your efforts to truly pay off.

Zrii--Now Better Than Good

It appears that Zrii is back from the brink and better than ever. The Rising Star Academy this past weekend was attended by 1400 people. The sales in the month of February were higher than January, even with all the upheaval. It is obvious that Bill Farley falls in the category of "When the going gets tough, the tough get going"!

Drinking Zrii for almost 18 months has been amazing. I'm working harder than ever in my businesses and I'm still the only one I know who has not been sick this winter. I attribute it to Zrii. And I wonder...if Zrii is having that kind of impact on the visible aspects of my immune system...what can it be doing on the less visible? Tumor prevention? Aging diseases? It can only be good.

Below is a letter written to the Zrii family from Bill Farley

Dear Zrii Independent Executives,

I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for making our Recent Rising Star Academy such an incredible success! In the face of recent events, many questioned whether we should push the event back a month or even cancel it altogether? After receiving so many calls and emails of support from the field, I decided to move ahead with the event, as planned. With an attendance of over 1400 IE’s, and a tremendous group of presenters, I am pleased to say the event was a resounding success!

The past two weeks have been some of the toughest days I’ve experienced in my business career. We’ve had some difficult hurdles to overcome, many of which could cripple a young company. Despite this fact, I am proud to report that we never lost a step in taking orders, shipping orders, or paying commission checks. Our sales volume for the month of February is higher than January. Wow! I thank both the field and our corporate team for this achievement.

As you know, I have now settled into my new office in Salt Lake City and will be much more involved in the day-to-day management of Zrii. We continue to hire excellent leaders to fill any remaining positions at our corporate offices. We look forward to some exciting announcements in the coming weeks.

In speaking with so many of you at RSA, it moved me to hear how you have been touched by Zrii’s unique product, opportunity, and sense of community. It was also wonderful to experience so much positive energy and excitement about this incredible platform and family we have built together.

It is now time to move forward in an even more powerful way and to set new sales records in our industry.

Zrii Bill Farley, Reinstates Top IE's

Below is letter sent to Mr. Bill Farley, owner and CEO of Zrii from Drs. Robert Gonzalez and Andreas Boettcher. It is a wonderful thing when men can see that they've made a mistake and humbly ask for forgiveness and also worth paying attention when a man who was attacked, accepts that forgiveness. Thus is what has occurred between the Doctors and Bill Farley. This is the type of integrity that I look for, yet questions still remain.

Throughout all of the information we in the field have been given, and all of the accolades that are being put forth this week, there are still pieces of the puzzle that are missing. Was the "takeover" due purely to greed? Did Farley make some bad decisions that prompted the action, however inappropriate they were? As a Zrii IE I feel that a large piece of the story has been left out. Maybe there are those of you who know it..people close to Boettcher and Gonzalez or even close to the people who authored the "coup". But for most of us, we are still in the dark, I believe, as to the precipitating event. It seems strange that an entire group of people who were being treated very well and paid very well, would rise up and risk all that without there being a very strong reason to do so.

Maybe it's not necessary for most IE's to know this reason..maybe it is. I'd like to know your thoughts on the subject. Your comments on this blog would be an appreciated addition to the story.
